Wolcott Foundation

Investing in Tomorrow's Leaders

One of High Twelve's proudest traditions is its support of the Wolcott Foundation, named in honor of High Twelve founder Bro. E. C. “Wallie” Wolcott.

At club meetings, members traditionally pass around the familiar “Little Red Schoolhouse,” contributing a dollar or two at a time.

Those small individual gifts become something extraordinary.

Each year, participating clubs forward their contributions to the Wolcott Foundation to help maintain and grow its endowment.

The Foundation, in turn, provides fellowships to qualified graduate students attending George Washington University in Washington, D.C., pursuing advanced studies in areas including international affairs, international business, and public administration.

Depending upon annual endowment earnings, the Wolcott Foundation provides approximately 10–12 fellowships, each valued at $40,000.

These fellowships can cover the tuition and fees required for a recipient to earn a full master's degree.

IT IS A GRANT — NOT A LOAN.

Recipients are not required to repay the fellowship provided they enter government service following graduation and remain in government service for the required four-year period.

Competition for these prestigious fellowships is understandably strong, and the selection committee undertakes the important responsibility of carefully evaluating each applicant.

From a few dollars placed in a Little Red Schoolhouse to an education that can prepare tomorrow's leaders for public service, it is a remarkable example of what High Twelve members can accomplish together.
